Thanks to the application of our cool roofing solution to 1,066 m² of metal roofing, the Total service station at Marguerittes, near Nîmes in the Gard department, has reduced its surface temperature by 16°C and maintained a constant ambient temperature below 30°C throughout the summer of 2021.
In July 2021, the Total petrol station at Marguerittes (near Nîmes in the Gard department) is suffering from chronic summer overheating due to the intensity of the sunshine (up to 11h/day in August). Direct sunlight on the metal roof causes the interior temperature to rise, with peaks regularly exceeding 30°C.
Cool Roof France took action by covering 1,066 m² of roof with its thermo-reflective coating, designed to reduce solar absorption and improve comfort under the roof.
Comparative readings show a maximum difference of 16°C in surface temperature (47°C vs. 31°C), with an average drop of 6°C.
Despite sustained sunshine (319h in July, 355h in August), the ambient temperature under the roof did not exceed the critical limit of 30°C, ensuring a more comfortable working environment and better protection for the equipment.
