Thanks to the application of our cool roofing solution to 300 m² of metal roofing, the Péniche Hôpital ‘L’Adamant’ in Paris recorded a 15°C drop in surface temperature and a 6°C drop inside, significantly improving the thermal comfort of the patients accommodated in this day centre.
In summer, metal roofs are particularly vulnerable to overheating. This was the case at the Péniche Hôpital in Paris, a 300 m² floating structure, where excessive heat compromised the comfort of its occupants and the efficiency of its medical equipment.
In June 2016, Cool Roof France applied its thermo-reflective coating to the entire roof. A comparative analysis of the before-and-after temperatures over more than a year (until July 2017) enabled the precise impact of the solution to be assessed.
Measurements show a 15°C reduction in surface temperature, greatly reducing the impact of direct solar radiation.
At the same time, the indoor temperature fell by an average of 6°C, bringing immediate relief to healthcare staff and patients.
