Thanks to the application of our cool roofing solutions to 300 m² of roofing, the E. Leclerc hypermarket in Pleuven significantly reduced the surface temperature and limited summer overheating on its mezzanine floor.
In summer 2020, the 300 m² technical mezzanine of the E. Leclerc hypermarket in Pleuven (Finistère), covered with a bituminous membrane, is particularly exposed to solar radiation. Surface temperature peaks in excess of 58°C degrade the building’s thermal performance and contribute to overheating inside.
Cool Roof France applied its thermo-reflective coating, followed by a comparative measurement campaign between painted and unpainted areas, over a period from late July to late August 2020.
The readings show a maximum reduction of 33.6°C, and an average reduction of 17.9°C between the treated and untreated areas. The surface temperature peaked at 24.8°C in the painted zone, compared with 58.4°C in the control zone.
Over the entire analysis period, the thermal profile of the roof remained stable in the CoolRoof zone, despite outside temperatures regularly exceeding 35°C.
