Thanks to the application of our cool roofing solution to 700 m² of roofing, the Maurice Berlémont gymnasium in Paris has reduced the surface temperature by 20°C and improved indoor thermal comfort throughout the summer.
In 2017, the Maurice Berlémont gymnasium in the 19th arrondissement of Paris was exposed to strong sunlight, causing structural overheating of the steel trough roof. To improve indoor thermal comfort, Cool Roof France applied its thermo-reflective paint to 700 m² of roofing in August.
A measurement campaign was carried out one month before and one month after the work, with surface and soffit temperatures monitored.
Readings show a maximum drop of 20°C, with an average of 13.9°C between treated and untreated areas. Surface temperatures reached up to 48°C without coating, compared with 28°C with cool roofing.
Daily analysis shows a clear stabilisation of the difference between indoor temperature and surface temperature after application, providing constant comfort in the activity room.
