Thanks to the application of our cool roofing solution on the roofs of a food processing industrial site in the H2a zone, surface temperatures have fallen by as much as 12.5°C, with energy savings of up to 14.2 kWh/m²/year and a carbon footprint reduction estimated at 18 kgCO₂/m² over 20 years.
In the food industry, temperature control is essential for both the cold chain and employee comfort. On this industrial site in zone H2a, Cool Roof France intervened to limit the rise in roof temperatures during hot periods.
The result: a drop in surface temperature measured down to -12.5°C, with an average of -8°C, and a clear reduction in the number of uncomfortable degree hours on the most exposed days.
The reduction in indoor heat means a measured reduction in air-conditioning-related energy consumption of up to 14.2 kWh/m²/year.
On a site-wide scale, this performance reduces the carbon footprint by 18 kgCO₂/m², or several tonnes of CO₂ avoided over the life cycle of the building.
