Thanks to cool roofing, Yzee Services eliminated heat peaks and kept the interior temperature below 30°C throughout the summer of 2021 in Vendin-le-Vieil in Pas-de-Calais.
In 2021, the company Yzee Services, based in Vendin-le-Vieil, faced a critical situation: indoor temperature peaks exceeding 38°C, with regular alerts from employees invoking their right to withdraw above 29°C.
To address this health and business continuity challenge, Cool Roof France is working on 2,545 m² of bituminous roofing in July, applying its thermo-reflective coating solution and rigorously monitoring performance over two summer months.
Comparative measurements show a maximum reduction of 20.9°C between treated and untreated areas, and an average of 9°C. The surface temperature dropped from 33.9°C to 13°C, which directly reduced heat transmission inside the building.
Under the opening conditions and according to local climate records, no temperature exceeding 30°C was recorded after the coating was applied. This is a first for this site, which is exposed to summer extremes.
